A number of years ago a friend of mine who did construction work in rural southwestern Va. related a story to me which offers a good lesson in economics for today.
While digging a foundation for a garage addition to a home the men dug up a broken jar containing a small cache of silver coins. From the amount of coinage the jar must have been full. They commented on the odd nature of the find and continued digging. A short time later they uncovered another jar, this time in tact. It was also full of coins. As they began digging again more jars appeared in the dirt.
By this time the men realized what they had discovered. One of the men went to the house and told the lady who was home at the time. She came out and upon seeing the men were not joking she told them to keep digging.
Now some information on where this occurred will be insightful. The home was built near an older home that had belonged to the owners father. His father did not trust banks as many from the depression era. His father had saved his money in coinage and sealed it in mason jars and buried it in the backyard. Apparently the old man died before telling his son about the money.
With the discovery of the jars the garage project was abandoned and the woman had them dig up the whole yard. In the end many dozens of jars filled with silver coinage were uncovered. It was a very fulfilling day for the home owners to say the least.
This story presents many lessons to be learned.
– silver coinage is a good way to save for the future
– keeping physical possession of the money is best
– you can store this type of money almost anywhere
– silver coinage is a good way to pass wealth to heirs
– leave information so if you die your family can find it
– bankers and politicians cannot steal what they cannot find
– real money is eternal
With the breakdown of our currency system coming in the near future, some type of savings program is important if you hope to come through it with your assets in tact. After a currency reset or complete breakdown, having even a small amount of real money to get you back on your feet financially will mean a great deal to you and your family. Getting real money to save is only half of the battle. The other part is being able to keep it safe until you need it.

When soldiers go out to train, they conduct battle drills. They practice conducting military operations not only to hone their skills but also to teach them to act rather than react to certain situations. They put themselves in situations that they may face in hostile places and under abnormal conditions and circumstances. Soldiers do these drills so much they get tired of doing them but it is all for a reason. In a previous article, I mentioned acting rather than reacting to situations. The reason this is important is because when people are suddenly put under duress, they can easily develop a mental block and freeze. In combat, this can get you and others killed very fast.
Those that live in earthquake zones may feel a quake and instinctively go to a doorway for protection. While driving down the street if someone suddenly pulls out in front of you, you are stepping on the brake before you actually have time to think about it. These are battle drills in a sense. When something happens that you have done many times before, you instinctively act in a certain way and do things without thinking about it. These reactions are your survival instinct kicking in.
The problem is that many people often find themselves in situations they have never contemplated before. When this happens your survival instinct may not have an immediate or proper response to the situation and you will hesitate. Soldiers often find themselves in situations that are abnormal and dangerous so to give themselves an edge, they conduct training to provide the proper responses to those situations. This allows them to instinctively do things without thinking about it.
This is one reason I like to make people think about unusual circumstances. Disasters are hard to plan for mentally because anything can happen. It’s these unexpected things that cause you the most danger. By allowing yourself to explore these possible situations ahead of time, you provide yourself the ability to do certain things instinctively rather than spending critical seconds thinking about what to do. Many have seen doomsday preppers doing a practice bugout on TV. This practice allows them to take immediate actions without wasting valuable time.
In an uncertain world, the more you practice for surreal circumstances, the better your survival instincts will be honed to keep you out of danger. Asteroids, giant tsunamis, super volcanoes and polar shifts are not very likely but they are possible. In the event one of these things starts to happen, would you instinctively do certain things or would you stand in shock wondering what to do? Running into a hostile road block, a rioting mob, police conducting house to house searches, your car breaking down during an evacuation or loosing power are all things we don’t want to have to deal with but someday it might happen.
If you conduct your own type of battle drills now to prepare for unusual circumstances you will give yourself one more tool to stay alive when the time comes. What type of battle drills might you do? If you think self defense may be necessary you might practice hand to hand fighting or clearing a jam or misfire in your weapon. You can do this by placing spent casings in a magazine mixed with live rounds. Can you disassemble your weapon in the dark and put it back together again? Can you dress a wound in the dark?
Can you navigate through the woods in the dark? If you had to suddenly evacuate your home permanently, what would you take? How would you pack your vehicle for maximum storage? How fast can you change a flat tire if someone is after you? Can you move your family in the dark without making a lot of noise? If your primary route is blocked which way would you go? If a tornado struck where would you hide? If flood waters suddenly started flowing into your home what would you do? If your home caught on fire how would everyone get out?
There are so many everyday disasters that can occur, you should plan to deal with some of them during your lifetime. By imagining these things now and walking through your actions, you will have a programmed response to the situation. Investors do research to provide the best decisions to make money. Doing battle drills for everyday emergencies will provide you with the best actions to come through the disaster in the best possible shape. Drills for other than normal circumstances provides you with a knowledge base to draw on when you don’t have time to think.
If you get creative, these drills can be fun for the whole family. An evacuation combined with a planned camping trip. A fire drill combined with a backyard cookout. First aid and land navigation classes at the camp site. The possibilities are endless. Battle drills are a way to develop your knowledge base so you can act instinctively rather than succumbing to indecision when seconds count. This is training that has to be done before you actually need it so now is the time to practice for those unforeseen events so you and your family will not be hampered by indecision at a critical moment.

It is becoming evident by new revelations coming out every day now that the U.S. is being systematically impoverished and sold off to insure its total destruction. The end game here is simple and will be effective.
Once the petrodollar is destroyed and we lose reserve currency status, the American people will suddenly find themselves broke and priced out of world markets for necessary goods. When this happens this country will be forced to utilize its gold and natural resources to finance a new economy.
The problem here lies in the fact that most or all of our gold has been long gone. It was stolen by the very people entrusted to guard it. When our dollar collapses, and the world returns to gold backed currencies, we will have nothing to back a new currency with. This will make a bad situation worse as far as Americans are concerned. With no gold we will have to use other means to create value in the world economy.
With the valuable mineral resources and farm and ranchlands that still exist in the U.S. we will still have resources to produce and sell products to get us back on our feet. This will be much like a person going broke and then selling their personal possessions to finance their recovery. This will be our last line of defense to enable national recovery.
The problem with this is that the forces aligned against the American people know this and are taking steps to prevent this possibility. American assets are being slowly sold off by the criminals in charge of our assets to insure we are totally impoverished as a nation to prevent us from maintaining a reasonable standard of living after a dollar collapse. This is the process by which America will be destroyed forever if these people have their way.
Our government is purposely destroying the dollar and indebting us to foreigners. At the same time they are selling off assets for pennies on the dollar to the nations that will subjugate us later. Chinese and Russian companies are buying large stakes in our mineral resources and land. When the collapse comes they will own us in a literal sense.
In all likelihood, when chaos ensues in the U.S. these countries will send their troops into the U.S. to protect their investments. These troops will likely come in wearing blue helmets under the guise of UN troops to protect Americans. They will subjugate and control America from coast to coast. Once that is done, they will strip mine this country like any other third word country. At this point that is exactly what we will be because we will no longer own any assets to rebuild our economy. Any infrastructure that still exists in the U.S will be owned and operated by foreign companies and they will charge whatever they want for their services.
Two of the things that will give Americans an edge in the coming years is the ownership of weapons and precious metals. One will protect your rights and the other will allow you to maintain a reasonable standard of living and possibly prosper. You will need the first to protect the second and that is the reason gun confiscation is necessary in the future. The people behind this do not want you to have any chance to recover or stop their ultimate plans.
The problem with guns and gold is that even though many Americans own one or more guns, they are mostly for home or personal defense. These people do not stock the necessary ammo supply to fight a war. The people with sufficient guns and ammo and precious metals are few in number. It is not enough to provide a means for the whole country to recover from crisis.
These foreign troops cannot show themselves in the light of day right now for fear of alerting Americans what is actually coming. The use of federal agents is the mechanism to take these resources from individuals by any means possible. That includes intimidation and physical peril if necessary. I hesitate to say it but someone must. These agents and politicians that are helping to destroy private property rights in America need to understand in a very strong way that if they continue to threaten American families, their family will be put in similar peril.
The recent actions in Nevada show that this agenda is well under way. Patriots need to take heed. This recent action was not only to take resources but to gauge resistance and abilities. When playing cards you do not want to show your opponent what you hold until everyone lays their cards on the table. The provocative actions by the government are a means to get patriots to tip their hand and give federals an edge when the time comes to lay all cards on the table. The federals need to know what they are up against above all so patriot groups need to hold back on a show of full abilities until the time comes.
The reds are coming and unless attitudes change in this country soon, all will likely be lost. Once American citizens are subjugated, there will be nothing to stop totalitarian rule in all countries. That is not to say Americans always get it right. It is only to say that we are the only heavily armed populace left in the world that is still capable of fighting for our freedoms. If you believe in God, now is a good time to ask for his protection. If you do not believe, it might be a good time to start.

The events of the day are not extraordinary or surreal but are repugnant to anyone who defends human rights. If we had a Republican president I would expect PETA to be out in force defending the helpless cattle but since it is a Democrats decision it must be ok. This is how things work in a feudal system.
This may not be a Bunker Hill or a Concord, but it will be a Newton Station if the federals have their way. This is a battle not just to flaunt raw power but to break the spirit of resistance inbred in most true Americans. If the federals are able to destroy all of Mr. Bundy’s cattle then simply get in their vehicles and drive away, they will have won the battle. They will have succeeded in once again showing Americans the federal government can do whatever it wants and not suffer any consequences.
If this was a simple case of denying use of federal lands to an individual, they could just as easily herd the cattle back to Mr. Bundy’s land and put up a fence. But that would not deprive Mr. Bundy of his livelihood and source of revenue. The destruction of his personal property and future ability to fight off the federal government will be insured by these actions. He would be forced out like the rest.
With actions come consequences. The federal government has the notion that their actions are immune from any significant consequences. If the federals are not prevented from removing these cattle from the area then there need to be consequences. The only consequences that they could suffer that would mean anything to them would be the prevention of any of them leaving the area in a vertical position or leaving in hand cuffs.
Since many people are defending the government actions because they are acting according to the law then the governments own rules should be used against them. Many states recognize many of their citizens as members of the unorganized militia according to their state constitution. This makes them military personnel. These legal militia members need to detain these government agents for terrorist actions under section 1021 of the NDAA. Under that provision these men can be detained indefinitely without charges. If the government does not think they have the authority they can take it to court. During the years it takes to go through the court system these men can rot in a jail cell.
Everyone hopes this situation will end in a peaceful way but if it does that means someone must lose this battle. Either Mr. Bundy will lose his cattle or the government will lose the grip of fear they have on the country. Someone will have to back down to have a peaceful settlement and I don’t see the federals doing that willingly.
If the people in Bunkerville do not prevent the removal of stolen cattle from their community they will be the defacto losers. That is what most people do not see. Many times the enemy will try your defenses to see what reaction they get. They will continue to push you more and more until they get a response. This tells them what they can do to you before you respond. That is what the federals are doing right now. They are constantly pushing Americans more every time they act to see where your line is drawn.
As Bismarck once said, the great questions of the day will be answered not with speeches or majority votes, but by blood and iron. If the people of America allow the government to get away with this scott free, they might as well pack up their resolve and go home and never utter another disrespectful word against their masters again.

The west line is a theory that the commercial shipping center of the world has slowly moved westward over the course of centuries. This line, by chance or some hidden economic force, has slowly moved for 5,000 years. It started in Lebanon about 3,000 BC, moving in small steps to Rhodes, Crete, the Greek mainland, Rome and Northern Italy. About 1,000 years ago a large step brought NW Europe to the forefront making Antwerp/Amsterdam, London and the Eastern Coast of North America the leading centers of trade. In the 20th century a giant step moved the center of trade into the Pacific and Japan, South Korea and China became the new centers of growth and commercial shipping.
Each step along the west line became a struggle as the old centers declined and the new centers emerged. This long term perspective on the world of maritime trade demonstrates the dynamics of the ever changing environment that we live in. It is a continuing process that civilizations must adapt to in order to accept their new place in international commerce.
England was a manufacturing power that allowed them to build a world class navy. This allowed them to secure a worldwide empire. When they began losing manufacturing power to the U.S. it affected their ability to project military power. When WWII came, they went into deep debt to fight the war and it was the end of their status as a world power.
The U.S. slowly built up a manufacturing base that made the country wealthy and powerful in the world. This manufacturing ability allowed us to build a world class navy during WWII and become the new world power. In the 1930’s the U.S. built up the worlds largest gold hoard with about 26,000 tons. The U.S. has now lost much of its savings and manufacturing power to China and gone deep into debt to that nation.
China now has the manufacturing capability that England and America once had. This capability has made the country wealthy and they are now starting to build a large gold hoard. They are in the initial stages of building a large navy and a middle class that can utilize it’s manufacturing capacity once the U.S. sales wane. When war comes to the world once again, China will take the reigns of power from the U.S. and become the new world power. The U.S. will have to learn to live with a smaller, slower economy just as England and the others before them have.
By understanding the process that is now occurring, we can mitigate the damage to America and insure a reasonable standard of living in the future, but if we ignore the process taking place we may very well end up in third world conditions. The future of America is that of a nation with a lower standard of living and less military power. It will be a nation that must compete in world markets and have a product to sell to stay viable. The ability to prosper due to having the world reserve currency is over and we must accept that fact and adjust to it. If we fail to adjust to the new reality unfolding before us, we will suffer terribly for it.
We hold the future in our hands as the actions we will take will ultimately reflect our standard of living in years to come. The U.S. is destined to be no more than a shell of its’ former self for many years to come if it survives at all. The divisions now present in our society are such that losing our current prosperity could tear us apart as a nation. Do not suffer any delusions. The prosperity we once had is gone and will likely never be repeated in this nation, at least not for several centuries. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is not presenting a rational argument based on the natural tendencies of the west line which cannot be controlled by man. The best we can hope to do is to build a stable society that we can live with in the years to come. Just as past empires have succumbed to the west line in its passing, so must America.

You wake up one morning and there is no power. You say ok, maybe there is a local power problem. You check your cell phone and it works but there is no signal. You start up your generator and your home comes back to life. Everything works so you know the problem is not an EMP attack so you feel better. You turn on the radio to see if you can find out about the power outage but all you get is static on all settings. You turn on your TV and get nothing but static on all channels. You try the internet but your satellite direct connection is dead. You think ok, maybe there is some very bad solar interference so you try to call out on your land line and it is dead. Now you start to worry some. You go outside and start your car and it runs fine but that radio does not work either.
You drive into town to see if you can find out any news but the situation is the same there. No power from the grid and no communications from any source. What does it mean? At this point most of the sheep will just resort to their usual mini-emergency persona complaining they don’t have any heat or air conditioning, they cannot watch their favorite shows, they cannot spend hours talking meaningless dribble on the phone or they cannot get on the internet. For many this will result in aggravation and mounting hostility toward whoever they plan to yell at for this latest inconvenience.
The sheep dogs out there will likely take this lack of communication as a sign something sinister is happening and they will endeavor to find out what. But how? At this point, what would be your next move? That is not a rhetorical question. What would YOU do? This is the crux of the problem. Most people set around after an event waiting to be told what to do and be informed what is going on. In the event of total communication failure, the country could literally be under attack an nobody would know about it.
Given the recent revelations about government agencies stockpiling munitions and the current world situation, this type of situation is more likely as the days pass. This could be the result of cyber attacks, foreign enemy invasion, a U.S. government takeover or a combination of these things. With a lack of communications, you would not know so what would your first move be?
Some may take this as a sign to go to a retreat location, lock down their home or make contact with like minded individuals in their group. In this situation there are no clear one size fits all answers. Who you are and the situation you live in will define what you do or should do next. The point is, what would you do, right now, today, if this happened? Have you ever thought about that? Maybe you should. If this is the beginning of something sinister, time is critical.
If I were going to seize control of a nation the size of the U.S. the first thing I would want to do is create a minor emergency to divert attention by cutting everyone off from information and basic services. This would create enough chaos and confusion to mask movement of forces and prevent any type of civilian response in the initial hours. If foreign forces wanted to land unimpeded or the government wanted to begin gun confiscation or roundup of subversives, this would be a good way to prevent that from becoming common knowledge that could warn potential targets of what was coming. This could prevent any resistance from forming.
The public would be almost helpless in the face of this type of move. This brings us back to the question, what would you do if this happened to you right now? What would be your first moves? That is something everyone needs to think about right now while they can think clearly and determine a plan of action. There are many different types of scenarios and you should explore some of the answers now because when it happens, you may not have the luxury of time to plan a proper reaction. In the unstable world we now live in, the crazy things are becoming more of a reality every day.
You do not want your first indication that something is very wrong to be tanks and troops moving down your streets, bombs falling or masked thugs breaking through your front door “to help you“. If this happens, your well laid plans may be over before they start. A shortwave radio may be of use, and maybe not. A plan for messages passed from town to town by individual messengers may work, and maybe not. A plan to use bicycles or horses as transportation may work, and maybe not. You need to figure that out now so you can act rather than react to the situation.
